The CYNAPSE platform is owned by the University of Cambridge and has been established and funded initially by the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre (BRC).

Lifebit provide the compute platform that underlies CYNAPSE. They are permitted to access the platform for the purposes of user support, analysis automation, maintenance and other administrative duties. Lifebit are not permitted to reuse or share data outside the platform for any purposes.
